The Newton Society

The CMNS Newton Society recognizes donors who have given at the level of $1,000 or more in the previous fiscal year. (Our fiscal years run from July 1 to June 30.)  Each year the college offers its Newton Society members a special event, usually in the fall.  Newton Society members are also recognized as members of the University’s Colonnade Society, and invited to that Society’s events as well.

Previous years’ events include:

2004: Excursion on Doug Humphrey’s retired patrol ship (acquired from the British Navy).
2005: Private tour of the Eisenhower farmhouse in Gettysburg led by Susan Eisenhower, granddaughter of the President.
2006: Private tour of the experimental facility of the National Institute for Standards and technology, led by Nobel Laureate, Bill Phillips.
2007: Private tour of the David Taylor Model Basin in the Naval Surface Warfare Center.
