Through the generous support of donors, the College and its departments award many undergraduate scholarships and awards, most of which are based on academic merit and financial need.
College Scholarships and Awards
The College Scholarships page provides a list of scholarships awarded at the College level, and links to a single electronic application for consideration for these scholarships, except for the two listed below. Applicants will be considered for all merit and need-based scholarships administered by the College for which they are eligible. Annual application deadline is now past.
The Jeffery and Lily Chen Scholarship is open to students in the fields of Astronomy, Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, Computer Science, Geology, Physical Sciences or Physics requires a separate application. Please see the Chen Scholarship webpage to review scholarship criteria and to access the application. Annual application deadline is now past.
The J. Robert Dorfman Endowed Prize for Undergraduate Research provides annual recognition for one outstanding undergraduate student researcher. Criteria and application/nomination information are listed on the Dorfman Prize website. Annual application deadline is now past.
The CMNS Corporate Scholars Program provides qualified students with a summer internship and a $2,000 scholarship in the name of their host company. This program is open to all students who have a major listed in the college and at least a 3.0 GPA. Applications for internships can be found here.

Many departments in CMNS have additional scholarships and awards that pertain to individual disciplines. Other Information
Students applying for college scholarships must have a current Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file with the University Office of Student Financial Aid (OFSA) in order to determine financial need. Information about the FAFSA process and other campus and external scholarships and aid is available on OFSA website. National Scholarships
The National Scholarships Office (NSO) provides information and advice about nationally competitive scholarship opportunities of all kinds, including many targeting students in science, mathematics and engineering. These include many valuable and prestigious awards including the Goldwater scholarship, Boren Scholarship, Fulbright US Student Grants, National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowships, and National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate award programs.
